ROUND 1 -
(Spring fertilization and crab grass control):
- Fertilization at this time will help to
develop color in your lawn while not forcing a
high amount of quick, lush growth commonly
associated with some lawn diseases. A crabgrass
control is applied at this time to help minimize
crabgrass problems later in the season. (1.00
lb. of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. using Scotts
22-4-4 with Pendimethalin (2.00 lbs. active
ingredient per acre)
ROUND 2 -
(Late
Spring to early Summer fertilization and
broadleaf weed control):
- Fertilization at this time will further
encourage growth and stimulate color in your
lawn. This feeding is designed to carry your
lawn through the summer months. In addition, a
broadleaf weed control will be applied to help
minimize weed infestations. (0.75 lb. of
nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. using Scotts 22-0-6
(or an equivalent analysis) with 25 to 50%
Poly-S controlled release nitrogen plus Triplet
(2.4D+MCPP+Dicamba) broadleaf weed control at
the specimen labeled rate or an equivalent
material)
ROUND 3
- (Mid
to late Summer lawn fertilization):
- We will review the condition of your lawn and
check for possible insect or disease problems.
We will also fertilize to assist the lawn in
maintaining its health during the periods of
drought associated with this time of year.
(0.75 lb. of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. using
Scotts 32-3-10 with 50% Poly-S controlled
release nitrogen applied as a dry application)
ROUND 4 -
(Early
to mid-Fall fertilization):
- During Fall, the grass plants will begin to do
a lot of growing. Fertilization at this time
will feed the high amount of root growth that
occurs during the late summer and on into fall.
(1.00 lb. of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. using
Scotts 32-3-10 with 50% Poly-S controlled
release nitrogen plus Triplet
(2.4-D+MCPP+Dicamba) at the specimen labeled
rate or an equivalent material)
ROUND 5 -
(Late
Fall fertilization/winterization):
- Fertilizers at this time will help the grass
plants build carbohydrate reserves in the root
systems for winter which will enable the plants
to get off to a strong start in the Spring.
(1.00 to 1.50 lb. of nitrogen per 1000 Sq. feet
using Scotts 36-3-8 (or an equivalent analysis)
with 25 to 50% Poly-S controlled release
nitrogen plus Triplet (2.4D + MCPP + Dicamba)
applied at specimen labeled rate or an
equivalent material)
GRUB TREATMENT -
(If
needed):
GRUB
TREATMENT WILL BE BASED ON LAWN INSPECTION AND
THE NEED FOR CONTROL.
- A minimum of 10 grubs per sq. ft. is necessary
to justify a grub treatment. The grub treatment
does not eliminate 100% of the grubs in a given
area. Treatment will reduce the grub population
to a level whereby the turf can compete in a
natural environment. (Treatment material:
Merit(Imidacloprid), Dylox(Trichlorfon) or
Oftanol (Isofenphos)
CORE AERATION -
(Spring/Fall):
- Reduces Compacted Soil - Improves rooting,
Water/Fertilizer Uptake
ADDITIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE:
- Lawn Seeding – we use Scotts seed exclusively
